Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today forever”.

This verse from the Bible has a deep link with every Christian family. Because this verse clarify the Lord Jesus Christ Divinity. Today I will start my massage from rising of Lazarus from the dead. After that we will see about the yesterday, today and forever in old and new testment.

Lord Jesus Christ Love Martha, Mary & Lazarus of Bethany. One day Jesus was preaching across the Jorden where John had been baptizing. There he got the news “The one you love is sick”. His sister Martha & Mary were worried about him. Because his fever is not coming down. His both sisters are trying their best to get the treatment. But their hope is dying. They had send the fastest messenger to Jesus Christ, So that he can come as soon as possible after receiving the massage.

Because these sisters were sure if Jesus would come their brother will be healed from sickness.

When Jesus heard about Lazarus sickness He said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s son may be glorified through it”. Lord Jesus Christ said to His disciples, Let’s go back to Judea”.

Disciples said “But Rabbi”! A short while ago the Jews tried to stone you”. But Jesus Christ said,” Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, I am going to wake him up”.

Martha heard about Jesus coming and she went to meet Jesus Christ, but Mary stayed at home for the people who were coming for condolence.

When Martha meet to Jesus, She said Lord, If you had been here, my brother would not have died.

Jesus Said to her, Your brother will rise again.

Martha answered, I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?

Yes, Lord, She told him, I believe that you are Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.   

Martha went to her sister Mary & gave her news that “The teacher is here and he is calling you”.

John 11:32  “When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died”.

When Jesus saw Mary & other weeping He became very sad and wept with them.

Dear brother and sisters, There are three things to be learned.

1.  Jesus said. “Your brother will rise again”.

2.  Martha answered. “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day”.

3.  Mary said, “ Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died”.

Jesus Christ is taking about today. Because he knew today God will be glorified. But Mary believed only on the ‘Son of God’. But does not know about his Divinity. That is the reason why he called Mary. Mary fell at Jesus feet and cried. “If you had been here, my brother would have not died. Over here she is taking about yesterday. Because Jesus is same yesterday and today and forever. That is why before making this, clear, that I am the resurrection and the life. He thought its better to make dead man alive, who has been dead for four days. Jesus took his disciples, both sisters and Jew who came for condolence to the tomb where Lazarus was buried. So they could give testimony for Jesus.

John 11:39–40 “Take away the stone,” he said. “But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days”.

Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God”.

Dear congregation. Lord Jesus Christ wanted that Martha should have strong faith & believe that Jesus is not only Son of God, but also what ever and when ever he wants to do any thing, he can perform that. So the teaching he is giving, she should believe on that. But Mary knew that if Jesus had come four days before, her brother would have not died. The miracle, which he is showing today, He could perform that yesterday. When the stone was taken away, Jesus raised his eyes to God and thanks him then the called Lazarus in aloud voice”.

“Lazarus come out”. And Lazarus came out. Hallelujah Amen.

Lazarus came out with the grave clothes. The Jews who came to Mary and Martha, when they saw this miracle of Jesus Christ, they brought faith on him. And they come to knew that who so ever bring faith in him to believe him, he will never die.

My dear brothers and sisters, we are also preaching his yesterday work, and His impressive miracle.

But Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today and yesterday.

As I told you we would read about his divinity in the Old Testament and New Testament. Here are few verses from the New Testament.

Hebrews 1:12  “You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years never end”.

In the upcoming verse Jesus is claiming about him self.

John 8:58 “I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered “before Abraham was born, I am”.

In the letter of Hebrew 1:12 is written.

“You remain the same, and your year will never end”. And in John 8:58 is written, “Before Abraham was born, I am”

My dear brother and sisters, we could understand only one thing that after Adam and Eve had fallen in sin, God planned the Salvation of the human being. And Lord God raised the Israelites nation for himself. The word of the Lord came to Abraham and Abraham believed on him, which was counted Righteousness in his favor. The promise, which God did with Abraham, He fulfilled that and God brought the Israelites out from the slavery of Egyptian. God told them to sacrifice the animals without defect, and to take the essence of the sacrificed animal. It is written in the Hebrew 10:5, Jesus said, “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me”. The sacrifice of the first baby of ram and goat was for the forgiveness of the sin. The God prepared his only Son for sacrifice of all human being. So every body could be set free from the sin. That’s why Jesus Christ is the only one who resurrected after his death. Because He is same yesterday, today and forever. As we go on further this thing will get more clear to you. Now we will read some verses in Revelation:

The under sign verses are Greetings and Doxology to God.

Revelation 1:4 “Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come”.

Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the omega”, says the Lord God, “Who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty”.

The verses from Revelation which is read, is the Doxology of Lord our God. These Doxologies are to glorify the Lord our God. It is for, who is and who was, and who is to come. It mean God Almighty says. “I am the Alpha and the Omega”. When we read in Revelation 21:6 It is written.

Revelation 21:6  “He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End”.

As we read in this that God is our Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. Like this, It is written in Revelation 22:13, It tell us about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 22:13 “I am the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning, and the End”.

In the same way we see in the Old Testament that, when Moses said to God, “When I will go to Israel, and they will ask me, “What is his name? Then what shall I tell them. God said to Moses, I am who I am.  Exodus 3:14. But in Exodus 3:15, Lord God said “say to Israelites, the Lord, the God of your fathers the God of Abraham, the God of Issac and the God of Jacob has sent me to you, this is my name for ever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.

My dear brothers and sisters, the few verses which I read for you, the Jesus said him self that “Before Abraham was born, I am. In the letter of Hebrew it is written “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever” In Revelation John wrote in Doxology of God that, “Who is, and who was, and who is to come”, and “I am the Alpha and Omega.

I am the first and the last. Here all these words are used for God and Jesus. But over here I have use the word “is” Because he is same forever. In Revelation 8:1 we have read a word “God Almighty”.

God Almighty is one of the name of the Lord. But this name is for which nation, let’s see this in.

Exodus 6:2–3 God also said to Moses, “I am the Lord. I appeared to Abraham, to Issac and to Jacob as God Almighty, “but by my name the LORD” I did not make myself know to them”.

God appeared on Abraham, Issac, and Jacob with the name of God Almighty; the prophecy for Jesus Christ’s birth was made by the same name.

Isaiah 9:6 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and government will be on his shoulders, And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

From his time of birth Jesus has many name from those name one of the name is “mighty God”.

Dear congregation, I hope you should have understand the Divinity of Jesus Christ. Then you should believe that whatever you asking. You should ask by the name of Lord Jesus Christ. That is why Repentance and forgiving of sin is through Jesus Christ’s name. Jesus Christ is same yesterday today and forever. Because He is Alpha and Omega, and first and the last. When Jesus went to the grave of the Lazarus, He saw Lazarus sister crying. He also wept. Because he loves them. But he wants us to know about his divinity. For 30 years he lived in this world as a son, and for 3½ years he preached about the divinity.

Because the majors blame on him was that, “Because you, a mere man, claim to be God”. John 10:33.

My dear friends. Jesus Christ was born from the womb of Mary by the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was born in the flesh is of God, As we read (1 John 4:2) Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. Amen. That’s why, He came in the flesh through the Holy Spirit, So he could be like an ordinary man in the world. Our God lived as a poor man in the world, so the poor people can be blessed. He came in the flesh, so he can pamper us in our sadness. For our sake he bear the hard ship and lashes, people spited on his face, slapped on the face, And he was crucified and through his blood we can be healed from our sickness.

Only He can bear all these hardship who is same yesterday, today and forever. Who is Alpha and Omega, first and the last and He who is, and who was and who is to come, I am, and God Almighty, means Jesus Christ.

I like to share with you one testimony to glorify the Jesus Name.

In the mechanic workshop, where I go for the repair of my car. One young boy is working in that workshop. He used to wear sight glasses. I usually see him working over there. He brings his glasses up & down, some times he make the glasses straight on his nose. One day in the evening I was getting my car repaired, I called that young boy and I said, your glasses can be removed. I saw a big smile on his face with the full of hope. I felt he has a strong faith. He started talking many things with me. I will do this thing for you & I will pray for you and thankful to you. I said to him, I don’t need any thing from you. But if you believe and have a strong faith that, there is only one God who will healed you and whatever you asked me, You will glorify His name and He will more bless you and give you the same power that He give me. And young boy’s faith more strong and he asked me please sir give me a favor to remove my glasses. Again I told him, in front of God all the power of Satan gets fail.  I was looking more hope on his face and his co-workers face. I kept my two fingers on his eyes and prayed to Lord God that his faith has become strong. Please heal him. I finished my prayer and opened my eyes and asked him can you see. He was extremely happy because he can read and see, Hallelujah, Amen. I thank to the Lord and after one week again I went to the workshop. He was working without glasses and he came to me and said, now I can see very clear from the near and far. Few weeks before I healed his owner’s wife who was demon possessed. I request to all of you, please pray for me and for the Lord of God work because I want to spread the Lord Jesus name in every family and in every religion. We have to release them from the demon, heal them from every sickness, which is found in their bodies only in the name of Jesus Christ.
